Gregeration X Newsletter August 17, 2024-The Great Winter of Doom (not really…Summer, maybe?)

Greetings! I’ve just returned home from a week in San Diego for my work’s annual strategic planning retreat. The word retreat is a bit of misnomer and implies some relaxation…which there was none. The week is full of presentations, discussions, and lots of data, but is powerful in terms of motivation and planning for the next year. Most of my work over the last six weeks has been preparing for this. Now that the retreat is over, my schedule will begin getting back to normal. Yay!

Since I’ve been gone all week and it is my birthday weekend, I’ll be spending the weekend with my family (and doggies) hanging out, going to a couple of cool restaurants, and getting some rest. I hope you all have a great weekend as well!

Mechhaven Missives

Focusing on work the last few weeks hasn’t left much time for writing. However, one evening while I was away, I started writing something for Book 5 that I haven’t done since Book 1. So far, I’m happy with it and I think it will enhance the overall experience of Book 5.
