In my last newsletter I mentioned EW released some pictures from the new Amazon Wheel of Time streaming series. This week, Amazon released a teaser trailer. As a long time Wheel of Time fan, seeing the actual footage of the trailer has me optimistic that this is going to be a good series. Click here to watch the Wheel of Time teaser trailer.
It’s a three-Day weekend for those of us in the U.S. Among other things, I’m hoping to get out and catch a movie. It will most likely be Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. I have to admit I don’t know much about the character or the overall storyline, but from the previews, the movie looks entertaining enough. One thing about Marvel, is they know how to take characters people either don’t know or care much about and turn them in to something fun and interesting (Iron Man, Ant-Man, Guardians of the Galaxy, etc). They seem to be taking more risks with the next few films (Shang-Chi, Eternals), but I’ve enjoyed most of the Marvel movies over the years, so I’m willing to give them a chance.
Announcement
I’m pleased to announce that I’ll be participating in my first “live” signing event in Las Vegas on November 12, 2021. If you live in the area or feel like traveling, below is just a small sample of the authors of all genres that will be taking part.
My books will be displayed at a table with newer authors, so I don’t have a set schedule. If you’re interested in meeting me or getting a book signed, please let me know and we can make arrangements to meet. I’ll keep you posted on additional details in the next few newsletters.

Mechhaven Missives
- Beginning September 6th, I’ll begin work on Mechhaven Book 3 with a target release date of late May/June 2022. I’m hoping to get a first draft completed by 12/31/2021.
- Mechs and Machinations is with the editor now and so far we are still on track for an October 25th release date.
- Questions??? If you have any general, non-spoilery type questions regarding any of the Mechhaven books or novellas, send them my way. I’d love to include some questions and answers in the upcoming newsletters.
